Why was I attracted to EPAL?
One day at IKEA, the EPAL logo on the bottom of a pallet caught my eye. The material, the logo, and the purpose for which it was to be used captivated me.
I instantly knew I wanted to make something with EPAL.
I immediately purchased an EPAL branding iron on eBay and burned it into the wood.

Something was different.

What I wanted to make was not wood with EPAL branding.
So I decided to make something combining various materials that I like.
Polycarbonate. Tyvek, aluminum foil, ceramics. I tried to make something practical with them. The finished product was simply something different from the original meaning of EPAL, but I was very satisfied with it.

The new aspect of myself that came to light was to recombine and build on what was originally created for the original purpose. EPAL gave me the opportunity to do this, but now I think I could have done it without EPAL.

When I act on impulse, I often find myself standing at a goal that I never imagined.
As an incompetent person, I often have to take such a detour to realize it.

I don't ask others to understand this lesson, because only I can understand it.
Finally, I would like to thank EPAL for making me aware of this.
